DMU provides facilities designed to support a range of fashion design skills. This includes specialist tools tailored to sewing and 2D/3D pattern creation, cutting tables and dress forms, essential for pattern cutting and garment construction.
In addition to traditional techniques, the course also emphasises digital proficiency. Students have access to digital design software and hardware, including Adobe Creative Suite and CAD (Computer Aided Design) Modaris Lectra, essential for modern fashion design. This integration of technology extends to 3D printing tools, allowing for innovative design and prototyping.
